Most people searching for purple shampoo are not bleached blondes at all, they are growing out gorgeous gray and silver. Here is why that hair goes brassy in the first place: gray, silver, and white strands have little or no melanin, the pigment that normally shields hair from yellowing. With that protection gone, UV rays, heat styling, hard water, and product buildup turn those strands dull and yellow fast.

A good violet shampoo fixes it.
